OMNIHEAD

  1. Technical characteristics and operability: a robotics system that mounts cameras, micrometric lasers and Operational Artificial Intelligence (OAI) software on board, in order to identify and hook targets in three-dimensional space, regardless of their arrival position. The robot transforms itself into intelligent arms and eyes that operate in place of humans.
  2. Assembly: the physical device is mounted on the robot wrist
  3. Advantages: reduction in processing times, elimination of piece centering systems and operator intervention no longer necessary, even in harsh and hostile environments. The robot calculates and decides routes, strategies and operability autonomously, within the limits of the algorithm.

​Examples of applicability:

  • Identification and picking of sheet metal at the exit of cutting lines or panel benders, without mechanical centering systems.
  • ​Identification of the position of loading/unloading pallets, AGV or AMR, disposed in a non-preordered manner and not in pre-established positions and quantities.
  • Automatic loading of bending or cutting lines.
  • ​Identification of any type of sheet metal or plate-like object in 3D space.
  • ​Identification in 3D space of piles of objects placed in a non-pre-configured order or piles not well aligned within the limits of applicability.
  • Tracking objects in a catenary with suitable boundary conditions.

OMNIBOA​

  1. ​Technical characteristics and operability: ​active motorised electronic system for controlling the delivery and retraction of robot cable bundles, based on the movement of the robot wrist. Also applicable to other operating machines.
  2. Assembly: ​the assembly of the device is best placed on the third robot axis, and controls the cable bundle from the fourth to the sixth axis.
  3. Advantages: ​eliminates the danger of jamming the cable bundle on the objects to be worked or various masks, by wrapping the cable bundle around the robot like a boa constrictor. This drastically reduces tears, stretches, and pinches of tubes or cables inside the cable bundle: as a consequence, cable maintenance and replacements are extremely rare.

  • ​Robots for sheet metal bending, welding, and general handling.
  • Automatic machines and operating heads.
  • Electronically controlled automatic cable bundle winders

OMNIFLIPPER​

  1. ​Technical characteristics and operability: ​​a robotics system for flipping sheet-like and non-sheet-like objects. Two motorized arms with the option of a third axis for the flipping of the structure in-line.
  2. Assembly: two options: a) ​on floor pedestal, b) on existing devices.
  3. Advantages: ​With this robot system, the deposit and pick-up point is always obstacle-free. The tilting operation is performed by the two arms of the OMNIFLIPPER. The tilting time of the sheet metal masks the robot realignment time. In the case of tilting in line with sequential machines, versatility increases for the moviment of sheet-like objects and non-sheet-like objects above all.

​Examples of applicability:

  • ​Flipping sheet metal in bending cells.
  • Sheet metal flipping for stacking and palletizing phases.
  • In-line flipping of sheet-like and non-sheet-like objects.
  • Substantial reduction of robot programming times, both on simulators and in the field.

OMNIRAYCUT​

  1. ​Technical characteristics and operability: ​​​robotics system for managing the cutting of micro-joints resulting from laser cutting with on-board Artificial Intelligence Operating (OAI) software. Generally this consists of two robots: the first robot analyzes the position of the origin of the group of micro-joined elements, picks up the pieces to be cut and palletizes them. The second robot cuts the micro-joints and frees the piece. The OMNIRAYCUT system works in cooperation with the nesting program that prepares the laser cutting sequences.
  2. Assembly: ​directly at the output of the laser cutting line, or preferably at the end of the cutting line, favoring the increase of productivity. It is highly recommended to apply a separate cell with OMNIRAYCUT; this allows the cutting of micro-joints and palletization of pieces previously stored and not yet cut. This results in the increase of the main cutting line productivity.
  3. Advantages: ​​​a) No human presence. b) No more lost pieces. c) No pieces stuck in the bed or support frame of the cut sheets. d) The micro-joined components, gathered in one or more areas during laser programming, are managed by the system that takes care of cutting the micro-joints and palletizing the released pieces. e) It is possible to decide to group the micro-joined pieces in one or more parts of the sheet metal and separate them at a later time when necessary.

​Examples of applicability:

  • ​​At the output of the laser cutting lines to release the micro-joined pieces, eliminating operator intervention.
  • Recovery of the various sheets of metal with micro-joints after storage in pallets or cantilevers. In this case, the sheets with micro-joints are inserted into the robotics cell with OMNIRAYCUT which will take care of identifying the semi-finished sheet, cutting the micro-joints and palletizing the released pieces.
  • In both examples reported, OMNIRAYCUT will work together with the laser cutting nesting software.
